i am STILL bloody ill, i think it has mutated into more (and more horrible) germs.

but on the plus side i started my second year of fashion with photography on monday and am excited for all my projects (even though the fashion marketing project terrifies me, gulp!)

i love the dip hem of this top and its soooo comfy, i think it would be too long to be pair with jeans but its perfect with leggings!

now as you all know i am from the essex countryside and a keen horse rider (yes i was a pony club girl).

now when you're riding through the fields its not easy to look stylish however joules range of women's polo shirts certainly jazz up a pair of jodhpurs or jeans when you're mucking out! 

either layered up with a long top underneath or going straight in for the long sleeve option you will be cosy, especially with a pair of hunters and a barbour jacket!

i would show you an amusing picture with me and some ponies but they're all back in essex!

hello lovelies

i'm back from a lovely few days in london staying with the boy and his flatmate ed (whose a babe).

i did lots of sleeping, eating and wandering, i went to westfields for the first time (amzzeeeee but oh so busy!) and took the bus in london for the first time. i think i will enjoy being a part time londoner!

i really like this outfit, the boy said it was very london so i will take that thank you very much!

not having that much shape a peplum is great to make me look a bit more 'womanly' however mine needs taking in a tad to make it sit a bit better. it did originally have spikes on the neck line and sleeves, but i'm not a very spikes girl, don't get me wrong i did try this whole outfit on with them but it just didn't work for me. 

i'm still feeling pretty sorry for myself in the health department and vodka does intact not numb the pain.

hello lovlies

i guess you're wondering why my whole outfit is crew, well this was my entry to 'project runway' a competition (i work for them for all you lovely new readers incase you didn't know) in the company to be the face of the new uniform guidelines and i've made i down to the final six! i get to go on a photoshoot in a 'secret location' next week!

today i'm off to go stay with the boy in london for a couple of days, i've been feeling pretty ill over the last few days, i think the result of two six day weeks haven't helped but chesty cough things and asthma are not a match made in heaven let me tell you!

i have had my hair cut since this picture and am rather missing my blonde ends but i think i might grow it a bit and re-dye them! but my hair takes about a quarter of the time to dry and feels much healthier so i guess is worth it! 

i really must get on with packing for going to back to so'ton but watching secret dairy of a call girl again just feels like a much better idea...

i have been shopping for my second year, i got all the important bits last year so this time rounds its a tad cheaper (apart from having to pay rent for my house over the last three months, hence why i've been working all the time)

i thought i would share some tips for those of you who haven't left yet.

1. poundland and the 99p shop are your best friends, the other day i got a clock for ninety nine pence (lets hope it works). its so useful for getting baking trays, pastry brushes, saucepans and frying pans from, especially as if you lose them (as you will in halls) then you can replace them cheaply! however i did have nice mugs and no one was allowed to use them as well as my plates and bowels which were also pretty (it just makes eating nicer, especially if you like pretty things)

2. wilkinsons, QD and the range are good for pretty but practical things (primark also do nice tea towels and decorations)

3. do be ashamed to get items from the children's section, i got some bunting and a bin which are lovely!

4. don't skimp on duvet, pillows, covers ect, they will be the things you spend most of your life in.

5. when your parents take you on a 'big shop' get those HUGE bags of pasta, powdered milk and teabags, they will be your lifesavers when you have just three pounds to your name (no joke it happens) but also get meat and freeze it as its bloody expensive, unless you live off eighty nine pence sausages like i did.

6. take big packets of washing powder and fabric softener and vanish (those red wine staines don't just disappear)  LEARN HOW TO USE A WASHING MACHINE, you will be everyones best friend (as well as being able to cook) you'll be surprised at how many people cannot do washing. 

7. ikea is god of storage, you will need it.

the boy went off to london for his first year yesterday (feels like he's been gone longer), he's doing geology the clever clogs.

hello lovelies

yesterday it was my brothers birthday so we went of a fam' trip to hampton court, and my gosh it was beautiful!

after being slightly grumpy (actually very, hunger is not my friend) at the fact some woman was faffing about getting chips and then taking the last portion at the cafe it was a lovely day (i settled on a chicken sandwich, not chips but i won't hold a grudge...)

the journey was quite a long one involving two overground trains as well as the underground but we got there in the end and spent hour wandering around. 

i love love love tudor history, i failed my history AS levels but i still love it, so my inner history geek was having a field day (wasn't charles II a naughty boy, many a mistress he had!) 

i think i love the tudors because the had so much scandal, its like gossip and history, whats not to love eh?

the palace also had many a chandelier, i love a good chandelier but who doesn't so much deliberation about how to steal one was going on whilst wandering around (don't worry i didn't, none of my plans of putting them under my dress would have worked anyway, a girl can dream)
