 last week i received an invite to an event that i was like 'errmaaagaaad yes please!'

i was invited by matalan to a private screening of woody allens film 'midnight in paris' at the bvlgari hotel in knightsbridge (accidentally gave myself a small tour of knightsbridge due to my appalling sense of direction even with google maps, it was a one minute walk..the shame..)

 the food. oh the food, it was deeevviinneeee, i am easily swayed by mini burgers and macaroons, add in those chocolate things on the spoon and i was in heaven, and a cheeky glass of fizz (or two...or three..) 

i had a lovely chat with cailin, becca, sophie and laura before the screening, and i chatted to rhea on the train home!

as well as chatting we looked at some of matalan's new products, i am very tempted by a fluffy jumper it was so so soft! 

thinking about it, i don't think i've ever been in a five star hotel until this event, a woman walked me to the lift and pressed the button for me...anyway enough of that here is what i wore 

i did regret the jumper, i was one warm wendy all day my face did feel like it matched my jumper for most of the day...

lose yourself to dance.

today i thought i would do something a little different to my usual instagram update, as sometimes i like to mix it up round here (sometimes, don't worry i won't go all miley on you)

annyywaayyyy today i wanted to just share a list of things that make me happy and some pictures that i've been snapping on my ol' mobile device lately, nothing crazy eh. 

1. returning to the dip dye gang, thus having good hair days again (which is aided by buying a blow-dry brush!)

2. baking, i won't get to do it so much now i'm back in so'ton but that makes it even more of a treat.

3. deciding on my dissertation subject, now i've just got to write the bugger (and research the hell outta it!)

4. roast dinners, one of my favourite things in life.

5. dinner and movie dates with jay, an oldie but a goodie.

6. having time to make egg and soldiers before uni.

7. it getting a bit chillier and thus being acceptable to crack out the knitwear, awwyyeaa.

8. my new converse which i have not taken of since purchasing them!

9. ikea dates with liss and being reunited with the 82 ladies.

10. doing incredibly bad dancing with my house mates (well their good, i'm not) all with the aid of vodka, no judging i'm a student...

pretty sure i have a uniform of jeans and a cream collared top lately, they just work so well!

i always forget i own these shoes, i like to call them my 'henry VIII slippers' and do a kingly walk in them for the benefit of my housemates (they laaaave it)

i would say i'm currently wearing something like this but the fact of the matter i'm currently in my pj's and dressing gown watching the big bang theory. 

i think this weekend will be spent having numerous cups of tea under my duvet watching rom-coms, perfect!

the newest member of the newman clan, if you follow me on instagram or twitter you will have seen these little bundles of fluff already.

they actually belong to mama newman and are back in essex as i'm in hampton of the south, so when i was editing these pictures i wish i was having a cuddle with them.

i'm all settled back in at uni and have already had a hangover, a dominoes and allot of lay ins, don't worry its all appreciated before the hard work to come for third year!

so today is a kind of haul post, as i have pretty poor since i went on holiday i haven't purchased that much but i have been given a few lovely things you know everyone loves a good haul.

i like to sing haulin' haulin' haulin' like the song that goes rollin' rollin' rollin' i know you just wasted a couple of seconds of your life reading that but now it will probably be in your head muhahaha!

and to add to my poorness i got a bloody parking ticket last week (bye bye sixty five pounds, it was nice having you in my bank account for a brief time)

apart from that not much exciting has been happening in life, i'm sure moving back to hampton of the south on sunday will provide me with many shenanigans to relay to you (lets hope its not falling down the stairs like last time....)

like thunder gonna shake the ground.

so what would so you say if you went to the natural history museum on a friday night and they had, alcohol, food, live music and no line to see the dinosaurs. hellz yea, is what you would say (and i did say when jay suggested it)

now the lack of lines for the dino's is because of the lack of tiny people, don't get me wrong i like tiny people but not all in one line shouting and being grumpy (although i'm sure there are some angels in there too and i was probably one of the grumpy ones when i was little) this happened at christmas when we went, resulting in not seeing my favourite bit of the dinosaur that moves and roars (you know its the best bit)

anyways, with glass of pimms in one hand and boyfriend in the other (well his hand, i'm not that strong...) we wandered round one of my favourite buildings and i got several geology lessons (as per) and i spent longer than you should at the roary t-rex.  

the food was lush however trying to eat a pitta bread filled to the brim with salad and lamb is no easy/elegant task, i tell you this for free. darn eager beavers had snapped up all available seats.

to be fair i fit in more with the children rather than the swanky grown ups that where there.

oh shush i know you all secretly enjoyed that...and yes i was pretending to be in a small earthquake..
