thats right friends, a smock dress with elephants on, what more could you want in a dress!
i'd been eyeing this baby up on asos for a while but couldn't justify it at full price so when i was pursuing the sale and stumbled across it i made sure i snapped it up straight away and in three to five working days it was mine!
the elephants are quite subtle so it isn't too in your face, plus its navy and we all know how much i love me some navy, basically i'm in love.

in other news i reached 1000 bloglovin' followers!! like what evveeennnnn!
thank you to everyone, who has stuck around from the beginning but also the new ones who helped me reach this milestone!
i know it might be a small number for some people but its pretty big for me!

this is my 'its so cold in my house you can see my breath' kinda outfit, despite the inappropriate shoe choice (which indoors are replaced with socks and uggs)
the primark jumper is an oldie but a goodie, i own it in white as well..just can't resist a cable knit and elbow patch combo
these shoes are a recent addition to my shoe family, they make my feet look like ski's but in a lady like kinda way so that makes it okay
i really need to get some more joni jeans but i just know that those will go to the same baggy fate that these will, so if you have any affordable suggestions that would be amazing!
my one resolution this year is to smile more, at the end of last year i was stressed and grumpy and i want to make an effort to be the smiley person i used to be, so you will see a smilier liv in blog posts from now on!
i had (a very little) hair cut recently, i think its more noticeable if you look back at old posts just because my hair gets so wide when it needs cutting! my hairdresser (who is the best, i will always go there!) curled it into hollywood waves once it was finished and i was in love! i want to recreate it for a special occasion in the future!

p.s. my hollywood hair!

p.p.s. i'm still scared of dentists and the dark but this song is just divine

what i got for christmas

what i got for christmas

hello from a very croaky and sniffly liv!
i've been battling a cold all christmas but my voice has been gone for a good few days and now i have a few days off before i go back to uni the germs are out in full force, i think working saved me from having it properly till now.

now onto a brighter note, i thought i would share some of the gorgeous gifts my lovely family and friends got me for christmas.
it was the year of the pj for me, both grandparents and mama k got me them (i bloody love pyjamas though so not complaints here)
not pictures are a gorgeous cath kidston bag that jay got me, as i'm always travelling here and there a weekend bag is the perfect gift for me!
mama likes to give me a piece of art each year so i can build my collection for when i have a house of my own, this year was a lino print of rough coat sausage dog (i have a serious obsession, very serious) by chrissie richards who is a local artist and family friend (i just couldn't take a photograph that did it justice, keep your eyes peeled on insta for it coming bak to so'ton with me) you can buy her work here!
i am seriously in love with all my lovely gifts and everyone was so so generous this year, and yes the guinea pig nativity pig book is as good as it sounds!

today i am trying to do some of my uni work now i have some time off (no rest for the wicked eh) so far in my personal development plan i have written that in ten years i see myself having a sausage dog, i will be likely to have a sausage dog and unlikely not to have one. clear goals and all that...
later i'm going to venture outside (which looks horrendous) for a haircut and get some lemsip, all very exciting!

hope everyone who lives by the coast is staying safe <3

just some pictures of my christmas!
we have allot of birthdays around christmas in our family, it was my grandpa's on christmas eve so we went for cake and gifts at his care home.
i had been working all day so after his birthday celebrations went home briefly so i could wake up in my own bed for christmas morning!
after opening our presents at home went went to aunty jens (whose birthday it was) for lots of food and  allot more cake and more presents.
in the evening i went to jays but we were so tired after a crazy few days work before christmas that after his family went home we just went to sleep!
on boxing day mama and papa picked me up and we all head to my aunty and uncles in norfolk, i always forget how beautiful (but windy!) it is there plus the cousin abuse i get (its out of love really)

hope everyone had a lovely christmas!

london retro glasses review and giveaway
london retro glasses review and giveaway
shirt | ebay

i've been a glasses wearer for almost five years, i am pretty naughty and only wear them when i really need to like in lectures or when driving. the lovely jess at myoptique emailed me just i was musing that after two years it was probably time for a new prescription.
i picked the bakerloo frames, the slight cat eye compliments my moon face nicely!
now i'm sure you know about london retro as they've been spotted on lots of beautiful bloggers, but just incase you want to know more....
"Available exclusively from MyOptique.com, the collection is titled Metropolitan, with each style named after an iconic London tube line or station. It provides a modern look backwards, combining retro shapes with the season’s key colour and fabrication trends. Mirroring a trend seen on the catwalks at Chanel, Miu Miu and Dior, the collection features thinner acetates than previ-ously. Matt finishes reflect the growing influence of texture, while subtle colourways like muted pinks are introduced for the first time."

now as i love you and like to give you treats i have a giveaway for you! myoptique want to give you a pair of london retro glasses too, you can have sunglasses if you're not part of the four eyes club.
