tea and toast magazine.

many moons ago (last year) after a particularly terrifying lecture about final year i had a little thought pop into my head, i want to make a magazine and i have for sometime.
of course i could have made life easier for myself by collaborating with other people, however being the logical person am i decided to do it all myself...
i won't lie it was allot to undertake but i am glad i did as it made the end result all the more worth it.
i had so much help and support from my lovely family and friends, papa n especially with eating all the food i made for the recipe sections!
as well as my best chummy jade who felt with several of my breakdowns, especially when my laptop charger broke a week before my deadline. panic, utter panic.
i have received so many lovely and wonderful comments about tea and toast already and i just wanted to say thank you so so much for all of you have shared or given feedback i just want to squish all your faces!

i've embedded the magazine below, however I've found it a bit temperamental so here is the link which will take you straight to the magazine!

p.s. i'm thinking about making a second edition, what do you think?

coat, necklace and jumper | primark

i have renewed my love for my tough gal' boots, mainly because when i walk in them i sound like a cowboy. which in my book makes any pair of shoes the best (except if crocs did it, them not so much but i imagine that could be challenging to do...)
not being a massively pink person i was quite surprised when i was drawn to this jumper, but one its comfy and two it looks pretttyyyy nice with my jeans. which meant it was coming home with me!
i can't quite believe i have one week left of uni, this is a rare siting of me outside of the library!  i feel like i want to poo my pants and be excited all at the same time, i think its the heading into the unknown and hoping that grown up's will actually want to employ me?!
my face is extra moon like is the smiley photo, but sometimes you gotta crack out the cheesy grin and a lunge pose....well i do...

there might be a bit of radio silence for a bit but i will be back to share tea and toast magazine with you!

just a few (million) pictures from easter, thought i'd do a little round up!
in-between working and doing work i've been enjoying being back in the fields for a bit and getting to see my besties which always feels too long between visits
on the easter weekend we had a big family pizza oven session, old timers know what i'm talking about but for you newbies my cousin bill and papa built a pizza oven in my aunties garden and every time he's back from canada everyone comes round and we eat too much!
this also meant i got to see the lovely katie again, her blog is worth a peak!
i've been in the final throws of my FMP which is turning this little space into an online magazine, i will tell you more in its own post but i'm so excited to share it with you!
papa was busy helping me with my FMP but we were also training for a 10k run which is the next bank holiday, i've even got fancy new trainers!
also over the easter weekend was mine and jays three year anniversary, like normal we celebrated with mexican food and cocktails my three favourite things together!

hope everyone had a lovely easter and ate too much (i know i did, mainly of the hot cross bun variety)

i wanted to save this dress for a really warm sunny day...and then i realised i'm me and want to wear anything new right that second (i'm pretty sure i'm not the only one...i hope...)
these pictures have been plagued with a case of squinty eye again! didn't even bloody realise i was doing it...
once again rekindling my love for my indiana jones hat, papa newman approves but he is a man of many hats so i'm sure he was just eyeing it up for his collection.
family newman are living up to our culture vulture nature and going to the ballet tonight, we also went to see cuban fury last night (absolutely hilarious!) you just can't stop us eh?

i won't lie my neighbours came out of their houses to ask what papa and i were where doing when we were taking these pictures, ah village life!
i'm a big fan of a jumpsuit, they're just so comfy and this one is no exception. it also has a lace back back i'm an idiot and forgot to photograph it...
i thought i should share that at work today i mostly moved sand and pebbles around in various vase's, ah visual merchandising you joy!

with all your magic, you disappear from view.

diversity on the catwalk
diversity on the catwalk
diversity on the catwalk
diversity on the catwalk
diversity on the catwalk
diversity on the catwalk

a few weeks ago i attend the 'real catwalk' created by pasha in aid of the charity young minds
the catwalks aim was to show that anyone can be part of fashion and that we should encourage diversity in it (which i am totally all for!)
i arrived and located my chair with my name and blog on ( i felt very profesh i won't lie) and a cupcake made by pasha's mum, pasha's mum can make me cupcakes any day of the week as it was so good i thought about stealing other peoples who hadn't arrive yet...but i didn't
i sneaked backstage to take a few photos of the models and make up artists, then went and took my seat for the show.
all the clothes were available to buy in southampton and with  high street names like new look and river island everyone looked stylish but it was good to know that all the items were affordable
the show went through a number of trends for spring/summer and showed how people of any age could wear them
the show was a great experience and i could really see all the work and thought that had been into it!
