i won't lie to you, this outfit makes me feel like a five year old (and i love it!) 

i've actually had the dungarees for about a year after i saw them on the lovely rosie and decided i had to have them! 

somehow they never made their way onto the blog until now, probably to do with the fact that i accidentally leave clothes at mama and papa's when i visit....

evening walks round our neighbourhood when the sun is still shining is currently one of my favourite things at the moment! although when we were taking these pictures people kept coming out their houses and i have lots of pictures with my 'is there a person/awkward face' so attractive i know

easter fun.

okay so jay and i are a bit obsessed with taking pictures of the blossom....

we headed back to essex for some easter rest after a hectic two weeks for both of us (we both work in retail and jay just handed in his thesis) so we were both ready to eat lamb and chocolate all weekend...not together obvz.

mama k set up an easter egg hunt for us, involving clues in french and german (thank the lord for google translate) but after our brains had been suitably stretched for a sunday morning we cracked into our eggs (getit eggs...cracked...) then rolled round the fields to try and make the amount of chocolate we ate okay...it probably didn't....

much as i absolutely love living in london coming home is needed every one and a while.

on sunday i got to send the day with one of my favourite ladies, after three years of living minutes from each other it felt so good to be back in the same city again! (sadly i can't make the journey in my pj's here though, might get a few more funny looks than i did i southampton)

i was wearing my usual uniform of jumper and jeans, jade is always nicely dressed with perfect make up (so i always looked like a troll next to her at early morning lectures) as we share a mutual love of pretty houses, flowers and hot chocolate we were happy to wander round the neighbourhood for hours (which was lucky as i got a bit lost...whats new eh!)  

after all that walking we got under my duvet, had a pizza and watched a rom-com. the best way to spend a sunday!

woodland walk.

this weekend jay and i went back to essex for the weekend, sometimes you need a little break from london (especially if you're a country girl at heart) 

my favourite pass time when i'm home is dog walking, sadly we had to have our family dog put down last week but jays family dog reggie was on hand to fulfil my dog cuddling and walking needs. 

the weather showed that spring is definitely on its way and the sunshine has been seriously welcome!

admittedly this wasn't the warmest outfit for a windy february there are lots of photos where i am sporting a lovely hair beard situation (which i personally think is one of my best looks). 

jay decided to have a play with the manual focus on my lens for these pictures, i don't usually use manual focus as without my glasses i am pretty blind (note to self wear glasses more often) 

admittedly i have had a bit of a rubbish week, i think i have a the february blues, a case of things not working out how you would like. i seem to have adopted the motto of 'what will be, will be' whilst eating lots of pizza.... but after booking our holiday i feel a bit more perky (now i just have to wait till august for said holiday and eat less pizza) 

i was sent this beautiful hummingbird ring by jewel street, it sits so nicely next to my birthday ring and i've been wearing it everyday since it arrived!

a little favourites post for you today, just a few things that i wanted to share!

yankee christmas cookie candle

this was a christmas gift from mama k, it makes the whole flat smell homely and sweet! its actually my first yankee (shock horror i know) but i have been burning it nearly every day and will defiantly investing in a another one once this one is finished (at this rate it won't be long, i am a serial candle burner)

 fresh flowers

jay got me a beautiful bouquet of roses and tulips for valentines day which are pride of place on my windowsill (where i put all my pretty things!) i always try to buy a bunch of flowers to have in the flat as i feel it always brightens up the room (especially when you live in one room!) 

making time for reading

i was given quite a few lovely books recently, so i've been making time before bed to read them all. living in london i have been making an effort to explore a bit more, this london villages book has been giving me ideas of where i should head off to next. i haven't had the time to make use of the laduree recipe book i have thoroughly enjoying looking through all the beautiful pages. i'm only half way through alexa chung's it but i am enjoying all the pictures and the way chung writes, just like she talks! girl online is the creation of zoe sugg aka zoella, i read the book in two evenings as i got totally wrapped up in the story!

i treat my self to a bottle of this when i go for my annual hair cut, its quite pricey but its worth the money as it leaves my hair really soft and repairs the damage i do to it on a regular basis.
